Primers are an essential step before applying any paint to a surface. At Resincoat we stock a wide range of primers ideal for use with any of our floor paints. When priming your surface it is important to ensure you’re using the correct item to guarantee a high quality finish. Priming your surface will ensure better adhesion of the paint to your surface as well as increasing paint durability. Our range can also provide protection for the material being painted as well as helping to hide any imperfections in your substrate. Applying a primer can also make sure when you apply your floor paint it is the true colour.

For garage floors or any other substrates prone to damp conditions our Resincoat damp tolerant epoxy primer is ideal. This item provides a damp tolerant seal and has a quick drying time ideal for DIY users. For commercial spaces such as factories, MOT centres or car garages our oil tolerant primer can provide an effective membrane against residual oil. This epoxy resin sealer offers excellent levels of adhesion for Resincoat flooring products. Resincoat Resincoat Epoxy Primer

Resincoat Epoxy Primer is a high-quality, low viscosity, solvent-free epoxy primer that serves as an excellent base coat for surfaces prior to painting. Its industrial twin pack formulation allows it to penetrate deeply into the existing substrate, providing an excellent seal and preparing the surface for optimal adhesion of the top coat. This epoxy primer in particular adheres extremely well to epoxy based paints as well as polyurethane resin systems

Resincoat Damp Tolerant Epoxy Primer

Resincoat Damp Tolerant Epoxy Primer is suitable for use on concrete floors and vertical surfaces. Ideal for garage floors and other areas prone to damp conditions. Though this primer will seal the floor and protect against damp it should be noted this is not a solution to rising damp. The product can be used on new laid concrete after 12 days or where the substrate has a high moisture content.

Resincoat Resincoat Tack Coat

Resincoat tack coat is a resin adhesive primer for use before screeding or prior to use of Resincoat Concrete Repair products. The tack coat will seal the damaged concrete and create a key between existing concrete and repair materials. The Tack Coat will also help prevent any flaking or loose material from interupting the curing process of subsequent repair products.

Resincoat Oil Tolerant Primer

Resincoat oil tolerant primer is an easy to apply, high strength epoxy resin sealer designed to provide an effective membrane against residual oil contamination in concrete substrates.

Resincoat Oil Tolerant Primer is applied in wide range of environments where there has been high exposure to oil leading to residual contamination. These conditions are common to MOT bays, engineering workshops and many other warehouse and factory spaces. Oilguard can be used as a primer for paint installations or as a simple dust-free sealer.

Please note that if the substrate is heavily contaminated with large amounts of oil, additional preparation or cleaning may be required. We recommend use of Resincoat Degreaser.

Resincoat Resincoat Deep Penetrating Epoxy Primer

Resincoat Deep Penetrating Epoxy Primer is for use on damaged, friable and weak floors or where deep penetration of the substrate is required to act as a barrier. This primer is specially formulated to go into the substrate and bind the weak cementitious material together before adding a top coat. 1 coat is sufficient prior to using one of our paint finishes. Resincoat Heavy Duty PRS Penetrating Epoxy System

Resincoat PRS Penetrating Epoxy System is a high viscosity epoxy resin penetrating sealer and binder for strengthening and restoring poorly compacted or low strength screeds.

Our PRS System penetrates into the screed, filling voids and consolidating loose particles. The material is supplied as a two pack system, comprising pre-weighed amounts of resin and hardner.
