Resincoat Deep Penetrating Epoxy Primer is for use on damaged, friable and weak floors or where deep penetration of the substrate is required to act as a barrier. This primer is specially formulated to go into the substrate and bind the weak cementitious material together before adding a top coat. 1 coat is sufficient prior to using one of our paint finishes. For very weak floors, which may need deeper penetration, please see our Heavy Duty PRS Penetrating System.

Why Choose a Deep Penetrating Primer?

Deep penetrating primers are perfect for strengthening your existing surface, the formula will absorb into the surface, reduce its porosity and seal making it ready for a top coat of paint. For additional queries on specific substrates please contact our sales team and we will offer further advice.

Coverage Notes:

Because of the porosity of different floor material it is hard to state a coverage with any certainty.

On average 5kg should cover 20m² to 25m²

You should use Resincoat Epoxy rollers and Sleeves to get the best out of this product.

PLEASE NOTE: The pot life of this product is 20 minutes. This means the product will start to chemically cure after this time. Ensure you remove the primer from the tin in this window. The primer will then be workable on your floor for 40 minutes.

I agree this goes much further than the paint but great cover. I'm waiting for it to dry to put the anti-slip kitchen floor epoxy on. Have used it before and it's fantastic!

Excellent

Used on concrete outdoors before overcoating with HB Epoxy. Pot-life is longer than the stated 40 minutes as it's quite thin, and goes quite a long way. Great product.

Great for dusty floors

Our garage floor is old and we were having a lot of trouble painting on it, this has helped massively along with resincoat garage floor paint!!

My concrete floor was always dusty no matter how many times i brushed it.
I used the Deep Penetrating Primer 2 coats to be sure.
The result was amazing I now have a space I can use and keep clean at last. I may add a colour later on but it is very usable as it is.
