Resincoat Clear Epoxy Floor Paint

Exposed concrete flooring can be a feature in many establishments including art galleries, hotels, and warehouses as well as in your home and anything but a clear sealer could spoil the intricate detailing therefore our clear epoxy concrete floor paint is the perfect solution. As a finish exposed concrete flooring can offer an industrial, modern feel that when combined with our clear epoxy can create a durable design lasting for many years. This clear coating can provide a highly durable sealant that will protect your substrate from light and heavy foot traffic as well as being chemical resistant.

Our clear epoxy paint can also be used as a final coating on our High Build coloured paints with the clear coat acting as a sacrificial layer that protects the underlying colour coat, great for heavy duty vehicular traffic. The clear coating will add a further layer of protection to this already durable paint ensuring your coloured coating does not fade or wear.

1kg: up to 8m2
2.5kg: up to 20m2
5kg: up to 40m2
10kg: up to 80m2

*Please note the above coverage rates are for applications of approximately 100 - 150 microns per coat. Coverage is substrate dependant as on textured or porous surfaces the coverage is typically less.

 Application Guide

Please see below for the best primer for your floor:
•    For new concrete floors prime with Resincoat Damp Tolerant Primer
•    For dusty or old floors prime with Resincoat Deep Penetrating Primer
•    For greasy floors with oil residue clean thoroughly scraping off any dust or dirt and prime with Resincoat Oil Tolerant Primer

Application –
We advise when applying this product the ambient temperature is at least 7 degrees.  Please note for 2 coats you will require 2 epoxy rollers.
1.    Pour 100% content of part B in to part A
2.    Mix resin components together with a drill and paddle for 1 minute
3.    Pour content in to a paint scuttle
4.    Immediately begin applying your paint with an epoxy roller frame and sleeve
5.    Use a brush around the edges for a smooth finish (a second pair of hands comes in useful)
6.    Once coat one has been applied leave 12-24 hours then apply second coat
7.    Once complete wash equipment in warm soapy water

PLEASE NOTE: The pot life of this product is 20 minutes. This means the paint will start to chemically cure after this time. Ensure you remove the paint from the tin in this window. The paint will then be workable on your floor for 40 minutes. 

Pot life = Time to harden in pot following addition of hardener
Working Time = Time to apply product before becoming unworkable

Useful Information:

• This product is NOT UV stable therefore will discolour when exposed to sunlight. Please coat with a coloured UVR coating such as Resincoat Chemical Resistant UVR Floor Coating for a UV stable finish.
• This product can NOT be split. Taking smaller quantities from each tin, even if measured correctly, may cause issues with activating. The resin formula is chemically manufactured to work efficiently and effectively based on the exact amounts supplied in full tins for parts A & B
• This product is NOT self levelling.
• The key factors for product adhesion are:
  • Surface Laitance removal
  • Compressive Strength > 25N/mm2
  • Relative Humidity of <85% for 1 coat or <90% for 2 coats of Damp Tolerant Primer
  • Effective DPM underneath the main slab
