Antibacterial Epoxy Floor Paint

Independently tested our antimicrobial floor paint guarantees fast, effective antimicrobial protection for the effective lifetime helping to keep your flooring hygienic and reducing the risk of cross-contamination. An antibacterial coating specifically prevents the growth of bacteria whilst our antimicrobial coating goes further than this destroying the growth of bacteria as well as a wide range of microbes such as fungi and mould. The epoxy coating will provide complete protection minimising staining and bad odours as well as being easy to clean & maintain. We proudly manufacture all our epoxy resin products in the UK for guaranteed quality & performance. Resincoat epoxy resin is 5x thicker than cheaper alternatives offering a high durable design.

The below diagram demonstrates how the antibacterial technology prevents the growth of bacteria on a floor coated with Resincoat antimicrobial floor paint.

Preparation
Before applying this product we advise your surface be free of any dust, dirt or contaminants. A primer may be required, please call our expert team if you require further assistance on specific flooring requirements.

Application
1. Pour 100% content of part B in to part A
2. Mix resin components together with a drill and paddle for 1 minute
3. Pour content in to a paint scuttle
4. Immediately begin applying your paint with an epoxy roller frame and sleeve
5. Use a brush around the edges for a smooth finish (a second pair of hands comes in useful)
6. Once coat one has been applied leave 12-24 hours then apply second coat

PLEASE NOTE: The pot life of this product is 20 minutes. This means the paint will start to chemically cure after this time. Ensure you remove the paint from the tin in this window. The paint will then be workable on your floor for 40 minutes. 

Pot life = Time to harden in pot following addition of hardener
Working Time = Time to apply product before becoming unworkable

• This product is NOT UV stable therefore will discolour when exposed to sunlight. Please coat with a coloured UVR coating such as Resincoat Chemical Resistant UVR Floor Coating for a UV stable finish.
• This product can NOT be split. Taking smaller quantities from each tin, even if measured correctly, may cause issues with activating. The resin formula is chemically manufactured to work efficiently and effectively based on the exact amounts supplied in full tins for parts A & B
• This product is NOT self levelling

• The key factors for product adhesion are:
  • Surface Laitance removal
  • Compressive Strength > 25N/mm2
  • Relative Humidity of <85% for 1 coat or <90% for 2 coats of Damp Tolerant Primer
  • Effective DPM underneath the main slab
