Antibacterial Anti Slip Epoxy Floor Paint

Independently tested our antimicrobial floor paint offers effective and trusted antibacterial protection ensuring your flooring remains hygienic at all times. With the added anti slip profile this coating is great for areas such as factories, hospitals, doctors surgeries and anywhere else that requires protection. An antibacterial coating specifically prevents the growth of bacteria whilst our antimicrobial coating goes further than this destroying bacteria as well as a wide range of microbes such as fungi and mould. The coating is also resistant to antibiotic – resistant bacteria such as MRSA & VRE.

Our coating provides 24-hour protection against most harmful microbes for the lifetime of the product. Additionally it is specifically formulated to meet and in many cases exceed guidelines set about by the Health and Safety Executive in the UK providing excellent anti slip resistance ensuring your surfaces always remain safe. The below diagram demonstrates how the antibacterial technology prevents the growth of bacteria on a floor coated with Resincoat antimicrobial floor paint.

Preparation
Before applying this product we advise your surface be free of any dust, dirt or contaminants. A primer may be required, please call our expert team if you require further assistance on specific flooring requirements.

Application

*Please note for both fine & medium anti slip profiles the anti slip additive is already pre-mixed in part A. 

 
1. Pour 100% content of part B in to part A (for coarse anti slip your part C anti slip additive, will be added later)
2. Mix resin components together with a drill and paddle for 1 minute
3. Pour content in to a paint scuttle
4. Immediately begin applying your paint with an epoxy roller frame and sleeve
5. Scatter your anti slip additive (part C) as you go. Be sure to back-roll with the wet roller as your sand is scattered to fully encapsulate it in the coating
6. Once coat one has been applied leave 12-24 hours then apply second coat

PLEASE NOTE: The pot life of this product is 20 minutes. This means the paint will start to chemically cure after this time. Ensure you remove the paint from the tin in this window. The paint will then be workable on your floor for 40 minutes. 

Pot life = Time to harden in pot following addition of hardener
Working Time = Time to apply product before becoming unworkable

• This product is NOT UV stable therefore will discolour when exposed to sunlight. Please coat with a coloured UVR coating such as Resincoat Chemical Resistant UVR Floor Coating for a UV stable finish.
• This product can NOT be split. Taking smaller quantities from each tin, even if measured correctly, may cause issues with activating. The resin formula is chemically manufactured to work efficiently and effectively based on the exact amounts supplied in full tins for parts A & B
• This product is NOT self levelling

• The key factors for product adhesion are:
  • Surface Laitance removal
  • Compressive Strength > 25N/mm2
  • Relative Humidity of <85% for 1 coat or <90% for 2 coats of Damp Tolerant Primer
  • Effective DPM underneath the main slab
