Resincoat Anti Slip Step Paint System

This Anti-Slip step and stair paint is available in a huge range of colours offering a highly decorative gloss finish. Ideal for both DIY & industrial users the paint can be applied to a wide range of substrates. Use it to rejuvenate your existing front door step whilst also giving it excellent anti-slip properties. Additionally the paint can be used in industrial and workplace settings offering a safe surface for users to walk on in all conditions.

The anti-slip profiles improves grip underfoot helping to reduce slips and trips. Customers have a choice of fine, medium or coarse with each providing a highly durable, tough design. Easy to apply the paint can be applied in a timely manner and once cured can withstand high traffic. Whether you want to coat interior or exterior surfaces this anti-slip paint is a great option that will provide a professional looking finish.

The thickness and therefore effectiveness of our Anti-Slip coatings are:

Fine: 200 - 400 microns

Medium: 400 - 800 microns

Coarse: 1000 - 2000 microns

Given that 1,000 microns = circa 1mm

Preparation – 
Before applying this product all surfaces must be abraded using a sanding method or for metal surfaces, shot blasting. You must then ensure the surface is free from contamination removing any dust and dirt. A primer may be required but is substrate dependent. Please call one of our advisors for advice on your existing substrate.

 Application – 
1. Pour 100% content part B in to part 
2. Mix components together with a drill & paddle for 1 minute
3. Apply paint with good quality epoxy roller and brushes
4. Scatter the anti-slip additive by hand in to the wet coat
5. Leave coating to dry for 12 - 24 hours (max 48 hours)
6. Seal with the second coat of paint

PLEASE NOTE: The pot life of this product is 20 minutes. This means the paint will start to chemically cure after this time. Ensure you remove the paint from the tin in this window. The paint will then be workable on your floor for 40 minutes. 

• This product is NOT UV stable therefore will discolour when exposed to sunlight. Please coat with a coloured UVR coating such as Resincoat Chemical Resistant UVR Floor Coating for a UV stable finish.
• This product can NOT be split. Taking smaller quantities from each tin, even if measured correctly, may cause issues with activating. The resin formula is chemically manufactured to work efficiently and effectively based on the exact amounts supplied in full tins for parts A & B
• This product is NOT self levelling.
• The key factors for product adhesion are:
  • Surface Laitance removal
  • Compressive Strength > 25N/mm2
  • Relative Humidity of <85% for 1 coat or <90% for 2 coats of Damp Tolerant Primer
  • Effective DPM underneath the main slab
