Resincoat Caravan Paint Primer

Resincoat garage door paint primer is an essential step to coating your garage door. The primer is critical to the durability of the product & also helps ensures excellent adhesion meaning your garage door will last for many years with no flaking or peeling. The single pack coating is DIY friendly & incredibly easy to use, allowing you to transform your garage door in to a stylish, modern appearance. The product is offered in white & acts as a great base coat for subsequent coloured coatings. The fast drying formula allows you to primer your garage door & carry out 1 coat in a single day. 

Coverage rates are approximate & depend upon the substrate.

1L- covers up to 13m²

Preparation:

Before applying our coating please ensure the surface is thoroughly cleaned, defects (including rust) made good by sanding and filling where necessary. For the best key we recommend a gentle sand with fine grit paper. Dust, dirty & debris should be removed, before a wipe down with a normal cleaning solvent such as methylated spirit.

Application:

Brush/Roller:
1. Stir product thoroughly, before and during use 

2. Begin to apply the product using your brush or roller 

3. Allow primer to dry for 4 hours

4. 1 coat of primer should be sufficient, you can now begin applying the garage door paint

Spray Gun:

1. Stir product thoroughly, before use

2. Follow spray gun manufacturers instructions to thin the coating for the relevant spray system being used. Please note the paint can be thinned up to 10% 

3. Allow primer to dry for 4 hours

4. 1 coat of primer should be sufficient, you can now begin applying the garage door paint

 *Please note it is important to ensure your substrate does not get wet in between coats
