Resincoat tack coat is a resin adhesive primer for use before screeding or prior to use of Resincoat Concrete Repair products. The tack coat will seal the damaged concrete and create a key between existing concrete and repair materials. The Tack Coat will also help prevent any flaking or loose material from interupting the curing process of subsequent repair products.

Resincoat Tack Coat is an Epoxy Resin adhesive primer for stronger repairs. It is an adhesive primer for use as a bonding aid for subsequent application of Resincoat mortar products. The primer is ideal for use where a stronger bond is required as in more friable surfaces or vertical repairs. Resincoat Tack Coat can be used on damp or dry surfaces at temperatures down to 0°C. Epoxy tack coat can be applied to a range of substrates including concrete, metal, wood, and most other flooring composites. All our resin products are proudly manufactured in the UK using the finest 100% epoxy resin that's solvent free. The tack coat will provide a strong bond for a highly durable long lasting finish.

Application Guide

Preparation:

Before use of this product we recommend where possible to square the repair off then use a wire brush to clean the area then proceed to vacuum the area to get rid of any loose materials, dust and dirt. If it's not possible to square the repair off, use a wire brush to clean the area out & vacuum to remove dust & dirt. 

  

Application Conditions:

Do not apply outside of the range 10 °C to 25 °C. Localised heating or cooling equipment may be required outside this range to achieve ideal temperature conditions.

 

Application:

1. Pour the entire content of part B in to your part A tin

2. Mix thoroughly using a drill & paddle for 2 minutes 

3. Begin to apply the tack coat to your area with a stiff brush working well in to the surface and edges of the repair are

4. Overlaying of subsequent mortar must be done when the product is tacky (6 - 8 hours). If that's not possible the mortar can be applied whilst the tack coat is still wet (approximately 30- 60 minutes at 15ºC - 20ºC but this will be extended to 3 hours at 5ºC)

5. Once complete wash equipment with warm, soapy water

PLEASE NOTE: The pot life of this product is 20 minutes. This means the product will start to chemically cure after this time. Ensure you remove the primer from the tin in this window. The primer will then be workable on your floor for 40 minutes.
