DESCRIPTION

Designer Finish Patio Paint

Resincoat Outdoor Patio Paint has been specifically formulated for the DIY user. Easy to use with great, long lasting results. The easy-to-use concrete flag paint is suitable for almost any outdoor patio area. The formula is a one-pack acrylic paint which means no hardener or activator is required. Once you are ready to paint, just open the tin and apply using a brush or roller. We currently offer 5 fantastic colour options which will rejuvenate any patio space. We also offer samples of this product to demonstrate the potential for your garden.

Please note: the above coverage rates are per coat, in most cases we advise 2 coats, especially if painting on cement posts or gravel boards.

 

APPLICATION GUIDE

Preparation

It's important to ensure that the surface is completely clean before the application of the paint. Jet washing should be performed on a fan setting at roughly 30cm distance from surface or with a dedicated rotary patio cleaner. Do not use jet patterns or turbo type lances.

Once washed, the surface should then be allowed to fully dry, followed by an application of a suitable etching formula, such as Resincoat Etch and Clean. Once the surface has been cleaned with Etch & Clean and brushed clear, your patio should be prepared for the application of your paint. Due to the amount of variation in patio substrates, however, we highly recommend applying the paint to a small test area first to ensure a perfect bond and desired finish.

Important: Apply only in dry conditions - ideally the coating should avoid rainfall for 2 days where possible. 

 

Application

Brush/Roller application:

1. Stir the paint thoroughly before use.

2. Apply your first coat with a brush or roller (start at the corner of painting area and working inwards). Please note: the paint should be applied thinly. 

3. Leave to dry for between 4 to 6 hours.

4. Apply your second coat (two coats are recommended).

5. If you have paint remaining, the tin can be re-sealed and stored for further use.

  

Please note: When working with Resincoat Outdoor Patio Paint, it is possible for you to wash your tools, brushes and rollers with warm, soapy water once you have completed your project.

Once applied ensure the floor is not subject to any contamination as this could cause the coating to fail.

 

USEFUL INFORMATION

  • Do not apply the product in damp, humid or extreme temperatures.
  • The paint comes in a larger tin to allow adequate room for mixing.

Patio Renewal

Etching solution and paints worked perfectly well. Easily applied. Used "Light Ivory" to change the grey slabs finish and "Black" for the steps and some edging. Very pleased with the finish. Excellent products. Highly recommended.

Nice product and easily applied.

I bought the Light grey bundle initially and ultimately needed to buy another single tin. It's cost me about £335 in total to cover a patio in 2 coats that's probably about 60 sq mtrs or so and honestly, it's like it is brand new. Easy to apply with a brush or two for edges and a roller from a bucket. Dries quicker than 4 hours which was good and the colour has made the area look so much bigger. I totally recommend this product and now I just need to see how it copes with the winter. I will definitely buy more products from this company.

Amazing paint, patio like new

Can't recommend highly enough, bought storm grey to cover old red and yellow slabs, what a transformation, used the the Etch cleaner prior to painting and jet washed as recommended, applied paint with brush and roller, rejuvenated tired slabs, over the moon with the result and has saved me a fortune buying new slabs, will be buying more paint from Resincoat ,well done on these great paints.

Transformed a shabby basic patio to a classy slate grey

I used during the last heatwave a few weeks ago. I wanted to do something with the standard Taylor Wimpey peak riven slabs that cane with my new build. But without the expense of replacing an entire patio. I bought the 5litre, it rolled on easily… to my dismay it rained 2 hours later… I crossed fingers it was dry enough… one slab that wasn’t quite dry has a patch of riven showing where it washed off. Other than that it survived and dried beautifully. I’m over the moon and have saved £1000’s

Got there in the end!

Initially bought a tin of dark grey but ran out with 2sqm to go and couldn’t reorder as out of stock for 2 weeks. Reordered using batch number but second tin a totally different colour, much lighter. Ended up ordering a tin of black and mixing with the “dark” grey and redoing the entire patio I the new colour. Ended up with exactly the colour I wanted, a true slate grey colour. You must ensure there is no dampness in any slab prior to painting otherwise it will peel off. It reacts with water and bubbles up. Will send a photo for upload.
